The project concerns the total rebuilt of a two story stone building located on the traditional village of Agios Georgios in Pelion and its convention into a traditional guesthouse.

The double height stone shell was repaired with new materials and techniques and the wooden roof was rebuilt placing Pelion stone on the top of it. The first floor was reconstructed, by new metallic columns and beams, self supported, without charging the existing shell.

According the layout, on the ground floor are placed the living room, dining room, the kitchen and a bedroom with a bathroom though the first floor contains 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The new staircase is placed on a corner above the kitchen, maximizing the livable space.

Regarding the floor materials, stone of Pelion was placed on the ground floor and wood on the first floor. On the exterior walls and in some parts in the interior of the house while restoring the stones we took out plaster in order to make the stones visible.
