The three-bedroom summer house is located on a hillside above the seaside village of Lefokastro, within a landscape dominated by olive trees. The plot presents a gentle slope and is oriented to the southwest, allowing unobstructed views toward the sea.
The proposal follows the morphological constraints of Mount Pelion, where strict building regulations preserve the character of traditional architecture. The composition is organized into two primary pitched-roof volumes, connected by a lower intermediate volume that mediates scale and program.
The house accommodates a three-bedroom residence. The living area is conceived as a double-height space, where an open staircase is integrated into a custom bookshelf, forming a vertical spatial element. The upper level contains two bedrooms and an office, accessed via a lightweight metal bridge that overlooks the living space.
The building operates off-grid, detached from public infrastructure. Energy is generated and stored through photovoltaic panels, while water and heating needs are covered by storage tanks and gas systems. Natural lighting and cross-ventilation are achieved through openings along the south–north axis, reinforcing environmental performance through passive design strategies.
